The Civil Society Days are part of the Forum, they precede the Government Meeting. It is an excellent way of ensuring that the voices of all the stakeholders in the sector are heard.
In Brussels, it was organized by the King Baudouin Foundation and chaired by Mary Robinson, former Chair of the High Commission on Human Rights as well as the High Commission on Migration. About 200 delegates attended the meeting and presented their recommendations to the government forum.

In Athens, the Hellenic Government has assigned to the Alexander S. Onassis Public Benefit Foundation to plan for, convene, manage, and document the accompanying Civil Society Days, which is scheduled for 2-3 November 2009.
